The company, like many other Italian ventures, began in the founder’s garage in the early 1920s.
The founder, Francesco Magnoni, aimed to produce a common item, the “economical kitchen”, in a different and even more cost-effective way.
Typically, these stoves were made from cast iron; to achieve his goal, he decided to use sheet metal.
This choice led to a specialisation in sheet metal use, which remains a core characteristic of the company to this day.
The first official document still in the company’s possession is the “Commercial Licence” issued on 1st January 1939.
The company was then passed to Donato Magnoni, the founder’s son, who, together with his wife Aspesi Giuditta and skilled collaborators, ran the business for many years, entering various markets: from automotive to scales and slicers, from washing machine components to the electromechanical sector, and many more.
From the collaboration with the American multinational IBM, the idea to develop a proprietary product designed and manufactured by Magnoni and sold under the Magnoni brand emerged.
Thus, “MF Products” were created, including various ranges of floor and wall cabinets and related 19” accessories for the structured cabling sector.
Following the initial TS500 wall cabinets, the MASTERlan series of floor cabinets was introduced, followed by many other products that would form an extensive range.
The company expanded and entered the international market, with clients across Europe and beyond continental borders.
Africa and Oceania became markets where Magnoni is present with its innovative products.
However, the company has not abandoned the subcontracting sector.
In recent years, it has actually increased its presence by collaborating with major companies across various industry sectors.
Thanks to its reliability and consistency, Magnoni Francesco S.r.l. has managed to remain strong in an increasingly developing market with more competitors, earning two significant recognitions: the award for being a member for over 50 years in the Union of Industrialists of the Province of Varese, and the award for 100 years of activity.

The company is currently managed by Ing. Francesco Magnoni, the son of Donato Magnoni, who passed away in 2019.
